Returns Policy Overview
You may return new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by closetdeadhead.com within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original product packaging. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Just visit our online Returns Center, and we will guide you through the process and even supply you with a return mailing label you can print out.
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Items that are Not Returnable
closetdeadhead.com does not accept returns of the following items:
* Items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases
* Computer laptops, desktops, and Kindle more than 30 days after delivery
* Any product missing the serial number or UPC
* Downloadable software products
* Gift cards and gift certificates
* Pay As You Go (or prepaid) phone cards
* Prepaid game cards (World of Warcraft, Xbox 360 Live, Wii Points, etc.)
* Items purchased from sellers other than closetdeadhead.com * Some Jewelry orders (Learn more)
* Grocery products and Gourmet gift baskets cannot be returned; however, closetdeadhead.com will issue a full refund for damaged products sold by closetdeadhead.com
You may return most new, unopened items sold and fulfilled by closetdeadhead.comwithin 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
Returning Apparel
Some items in our Apparel & Accessories Store are sold by closetdeadhead.com, and others are sold by third-party closetdeadhead.com Merchants. Any apparel item purchased from closetdeadhead.com may be returned using our standard policy, for up to 30 days from the order date. To make your apparel return, just visit our online Returns Center and follow the guidelines.
Please note: The sizing guidelines on our size charts are approximate. Actual sizes may vary between manufacturers.
Returning Underwear and Swimwear
Please note that closetdeadhead.com will gladly accept returns of unworn underwear and swimwear that it is in its original condition with all tags and packaging intact.
Returning Jewelry and Accessories
Some items in our Jewelry & Watches Store are offered for sale by closetdeadhead.com itself, and others are sold by closetdeadhead.com Merchants.
If you need to return a jewelry order you placed directly with closetdeadhead.com (from our closetdeadhead.com Collection), just visit our Returns Center and follow the guidelines for this particular type of merchandise. Jewelry items with a value of $75 or more must be returned using a trackable shipping method. Items valued more than $500 must also be insured.
Fine Jewelry and watches that have been resized, damaged, or otherwise altered after delivery will not be accepted for return. All Fine Jewelry and watches must be returned in new, unworn condition, and will undergo quality checks.
All certificates of authenticity, grading, and appraisal must be returned with your merchandise. A 15% restocking fee will be applied to any items missing their original documentation.
If you want to return Target items you purchased online at closetdeadhead.com, closetdeadhead.com's return policies apply to these orders as well. Please return such items via our online Returns Center. Such purchases made at closetdeadhead.com cannot be returned to Target.com or to a Target store location.
If you'd like to return an order made from one of our closetdeadhead.com Merchants, you will find a link to contact your merchant via the order summary in Your Account. Click the Your Account link in the top right corner of this or any other page on our site. After you sign in, you'll find a listing of your recent orders. Once there, simply locate your order and look for the button labeled "Need to return an item?"
If you're returning jewelry and accessories purchased from closetdeadhead.com Marketplace, please contact the seller directly.
Third-Party Merchant Returns
To return an item purchased from a third-party closetdeadhead.com Merchant, you will need to contact the merchant directly. You can do this through the order summary page in Your Account. You will find a link to contact information and to the merchant's returns policy.
Receiving a Refund
We'll request a refund after we receive and process your return. If you are due a refund for non-returnable items, such as groceries, we'll issue a refund when you contact us.
For items directed to our Returns Center, expect your refund within 4 weeks of giving your package to the return shipper (though in many cases you'll receive the refund sooner).
This time period includes:
* 5 to 10 business days for us to receive your return from the shipper
* 3 to 5 business days for us to process your return
* the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (see below for specific guidelines)
closetdeadhead.com will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
You can view completed returns and refunds at the bottom of an order's summary page in Your Account. If the return and refund do not appear in Your Account within 4 weeks from the day you sent us your return, please e-mail us for help.
Calculating Your Refund
The amount of your refund depends on a number of factors.
Full refund: Issued for items that meet our returns guidelines.
Partial refunds: Issued for items that do not completely meet our returns guidelines. Examples:
* Any unopened media item or non-media item in original condition that is returned more than 30 days after delivery: 80% of item's price.
* Any book that has obvious signs of use: 50 percent of item's price.
* Any CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened (taken out of its plastic wrap): 50 percent of item's price.
* Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50 percent of item's price.
Mailing labels: If you printed a postage-paid return mailing label from our website or used a pre-paid label sent by Customer Service, the cost of return shipping is deducted from your refund unless the return is the result of our error.
Returning one item from a multi-item shipment: If you returned only one item from a multi-item shipment, you will be reimbursed only for the per-item shipping fee for the item you returned and not the per-shipment fee. Visit domestic shipping rates or international shipping rates for a breakdown on the fees.
Promotional discounts: If you return an order that was placed using a promotional certificate or discount, you will not be refunded for the amount of the promotional offer, as these discounts were deducted from the original purchase amount.
Using our Return Mailing Label
The return mailing labels obtained from our online Returns Center are valid only for returns shipped within the U.S.
Each return mailing label is coded for a specific shipment. Please do not include items from other orders, or other shipments from the same order, in the same box, or you will not receive the correct refund. Each shipment must be returned using a separate mailing label.
If you use this mailing label and the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.), we'll pay the return shipping costs.
If you use this mailing label and your return is not the result of our error, the shipping cost of that returned item will be deducted from your refund. The amount deducted will be equivalent to our standard shipping cost for that item.
Large Items Shipped By Specialty Carriers
closetdeadhead.com is happy to accept returns for large items that are shipped via our specialty shippers. These items do require a special type of return and cannot be returned with a pre-paid return mailing label like standard shipments. If you need to return an item shipped via a specialty shipper, you visit our online Returns Center and request the return. We will follow up with instructions for returning the item. Note: Returns that are not the result of our error will be subject to a return shipping fee which will be deducted from the refund.
